PCLA Logistics

This four week synchronous online course (currently scheduled for Wednesdays from 4:00-7:00pm EST) is driven by real-life scenarios representing challenges in communication and leadership in the workplace. Published research and reports of best practice are the foundation upon which subsequent stimulating and dynamic discussion occurs.  Opportunities for interaction in large and small groups will provide the platform for facilitated learning.  Guided discussion of the learning leaders' experiences will offer perspectives to the cohort, assisting them via video conference.

Curriculum at a Glance

Week 1

The initial encounter explores leadership concepts, empathic listening, unproductive listening behaviors, and having hard conversations at work.

Week 2

Week 3

Topics explored in week 3 include communicating appreciation in the workplace and exploring authentic performance assessments.

Week 4

Culminating discussions of competence and coaching set the stage for exploring networks and actionable goals as a result of attending PCLA.
